What the heck is Agile, explain it to me in 20 seconds!

Updated: Feb 3, 2022

OK! Agile is a way to develop a “thing” (be it software, cars, services, houses, anything) in a iterative approach, releasing small but quality “things” while getting feedback from the user or client to improve the product! The client is key with a happy team building the "thing" :)

Was that quick enough? Do you still have time? OK!

In contrast, traditional projects (or "Traditional Waterfall" projects) took months or years to build a product. In our fast pace, technology driven environment today, said product was already obsolete after just a few months (weeks)! This led to waste of energy, waste of money with a very dissatisfied client and an exhaustive team building the "thing". This is because the client/end user was not involved up front and not involved throughout the process of building a “thing” to provide iterative/quick feedback to the team building the "thing" (client, let me know if this this looks right or wrong as I build it).

To help illustrate this, view the below image. While looking at the image, think of any "thing" you can build. Notice how, with small iterative feedback, the project remains on target and changes are allowed throughout the production of the “thing”. It allows flexibility or AGILE!

Hope that helps, if you are still confused, contact us for more info! Phew, time!
